Is Mental Illness Hereditary?

IS MENTAL ILLNESS HEREDITARY?

I honestly have no clue. I know depression is. But i think it is. And if so, then i'm pretty much screwed. I called up my parents shop in Queensland on Wednesday to ask if they could send out my Group Certificate from last year. (cruisiest way to make a living... working for your parents) Anyway, i was looking forward to talking to my mother since i know she still hasnt gotten use to me moving to Wollongong. But she wasn't there.

I ended up talking to my step father who said that mum was having a couple of days of work and maybe give her a call coz she is feeling down. But he kept saying... 'do anything you can to let her know you love her'

I think she has gone back to being the way she was. Which is a really bad thing, because she's gonna go pyscho again. Last time this happened, David (stepfather) wanted to take her to the hospital and have her admitted. It was so bad too... but it was over nothing. Watching it when it happened last time, was like watching a 10 year old fighting with her father, but twisted in a way.

Besides just being depressed, i think that there is more wrong with her. I hate to say this, because it hurts me too. But hoping for the best, and that she will be ok. I just hope that there is nothing more wrong with her and it passes onto me, because by the look of it, it's already caught up with my sister.

Evelyn's Story

Evelyn was always a trusting soul. So young and nieve, with no life experience as yet. She thought that life was one big fun park to make her own and nothing could go wrong. She soon got a reality check.

16 year old Evelyn was a very actractive girl for her age, was constantly told that she looked atleast 18, and turned the head of every guy that she walked past. She was never the most popular, or had many solid friends at all, but everybody knew who she was and respected her for unknown reasons.

One day, Evelyn decided to go out for a coffee to a shop that she has never been before. While sipping on her hot cuppa, a strapping young man, who looked to be about 18 asked if he might join her. Being the friendly person Evelyn is, she invited him with a smile on her face. (plus she got a perve)

The two of them sat at the coffee shop chatting for a couple of hours and they both realised they had alot in common. She found out that he was 19, his name was Gary and that he worked as a labourer with a local comoany. They hit it off really well and started hanging out a a day or two a week. They became great friends. But Evelyn wanted more.

Mentioning for the first time since they had met that she was only 16, Evelyn put her proposal to Gary that maybe they could become a couple. Gary stopped to think, but seconds later he knew that he couldn't keep this beauty as just a friend. Now they were a couple.

Evelyn never spoke to her mother about Gary as she knew that she would disapprove and tear them apart. So she kept it secret from all of her friends to protect their relationship further. Things were going really well for a while, they spent alot of time together at Gary's house so they would not be seen out together.

One night while she was over visiting Gary, one of his friends that she had never met walked through the door, with 2 cases of beer in his hands.

Gary's friend seemed nice enough, and then all of a sudden, Gary had to up and leave to his mothers place after he recieved a call. So Evelyn stayed and spoke to his friend until he got back.

While he was gone, things turned ugly. Steven, Gary's mate, started making remarks about how beautiful Evelyn was and was a good body she had. It made her feel uncomfortable, but passed it off as him being drunk. She kept thinking to herself, Gary was gone longer than what he should have been.

Then, Steven grabbed Evelyn's hand and kissed her on the mouth. Startled, she pulled away and asked what the hell he was doing?! No answer, just violence.

The angry drunk took hold of Evelyn and threw her against the wall, rubbing one hand all over her legs and stomach, and trying to kiss her with so much power, so that she couldnt move her head from up against the wall. His other hand holding hers together.

Not being able to understand what was happening and for what reason, Evelyn wanted to scream and fight him off her, but was frozen. He then threw her across the room again, yelling at her that this was her fault. Being free from his clutch, she woke form her daze and realised she had to do something.

He came at her again as she tried to stand to her feet, striking her across the face with the back of his hand before trying to push her head into his crotch. Confused, angry and scared, Evelyn did whatever she could to escape his agressive grasp. She stood to her feet as quickly as she could and pounded her knee right where her head had just been.

Steven fell to the floor with a shout of pain. Evelyn knew this was her chance to escape and bolted for the door. She opened the door and had never been so happy to see the outside world. Still dark outside, she was stumbling all over the road, feeling disorientated.

Eveyln reached the end of the street and took one look back at the house. Nobody was following her, good, but she had to keep moving. Thinking to herself, how she was going to explain the bruises on her body to her Mother, she kept the pace up, as she created an alabi as to how.

Not once did Evelyn cry as she was being thrown around the room with those dirty cold hands, not even did she shed a tear. She never heard back from Gary. It's now 2 years on and everytime that she remembers the incident, no matter how hard she has tried to forget, she sheds a tear. If she's lucky enough to be alone when she remembers, she has the cry that she should have had back then.

IF YOU ARE READING THIS, I AM SORRY TO HAVE POSTED THIS ON MY BLOG, BUT IT IS A TRUE STORY.
I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE EVERYONE AWARE, WHETHER THEY ARE FEMALE OR MALE, YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO CAREFUL. NEXT TIME YOU MEET SOMEONE, MAKE SURE THAT YOU GET TO KNOW WHO THEY REALLY ARE BEFORE YOU TRUST THEM.

Dreaming Is Dead... Nightmares Begin

She walks through the dark hallway, running her fingertips over the cold, cold stone wall guiding his way. She can feel the little ferns as she brushes past them. They feel as if they are little hands trying to grab her. She is scared, but continues on.

A light ahead. A small one, but a light. The woman makes her way toawrds the light, no sense in going back even if she finds something he doesnt like, she knows there is nothing in the direction from which he came from.

A slither of light shines out of the doorway and she peeks through.

Three robes are hanging lifelessly from the ceiling, from what looks to be meat hooks. But there are strange puddles underneath each robe. She hears a cry and notices a robe move. Another figure enters the room.

The girls jaw drops and her eyes are wide when she sees what is in the room. But still sits and watches quietly.

The figure that has entered the room is dressed in a black long flowing road, but his face cannot be seen. The man makes his way over to a bench and picks up a gardening axe. He then makes his way over to the three hanging from the ceiling.

Without a sound, he swings the axe and it slices through all three heads at eye height, and the bodies drop to the floor. The wpoman waiting in the dark hallway gasps quietly when she sees all three bodies laying on the floor are her own. But shuts her mouth when the dark figure lets out a satisfied chuckle.

She tries to stand and quietly make her way back, but trips over her own feet and lands on her stomach. The man in the robe stops and listens. He knows someone is there, and she knows that he heard her. She freezes in the exact spot, but can still see in the room. When the figure in the robe turns towards the doorway, she realises that it isnt a man at all, but herself, and gets up to run.

Before she has time to get away, the door opens and she is dragged backwards by her evil twin. The door closes behind them, and a slow, painful scream is heard. She was never saw again.

Decapitation

Imprisoned... Trapped by fear and pain
Insanity.. The only thing that keeps me sane
Heart grows colder... Everyday
Direction... Made me lose my way
Death... The only thing that's real
Life... Is just the devil's deal
Hopes and dreams... will only fade
Destruction... will overcome and invade
Secrets... make up my life of lies
Reflection... watching as i slowly die
Tears... swell up behind my eyes
Depression... the one thing i cannot fight

Near Death Experiences

Now i have to say, i've had my fair share of near death experiences (drowning, burning alive, car crash etc.), but none as close as this:

A young girl finishes work one Monday, stormy evening, around about 5.30pm. She is excited to leave the office early as her bosses have just left for the week. She scurries out the door carrying her umbrella in one hand, and as she turns the key in the lock, her umbrella pops open to protect her from the rain.

The young girl thinks to herself how much a relief it is to be finished work for the day, but just her luck for it to be pouring down rain on her way home. She decides to take a different path home to which she usually does. Good choice? Or could i cost her her life?

She makes her way down the street, trudging through the massive puddles and downhill streams on the path, which will soon become a roaring river. She can notice that the round about she is to turn at is coming up ahead, but when she gets there, she decides to cross the road.

There is a car coming, of course, but plenty of time, with secoonds to spare, to cross the road safely. She takes her first step onto the tar, and then dissapears. One or two seconds go by and her head pops up again. Her faced is shocked and confused. She is now down on her knees in the middle of the street, sitting in the pot hole in which she tripped.

The car is still coming, but it doesnt register in her mind to move. It has been about 5 seconds now, and the car is still coming, lights on, at a higher than normal speed. The lights shine on the girl and she turns to see what it is. Her eyes open wide and she realises what is about to happen, but cannot move or think. Even the noise around her drowns out to a tiny echo in the back of her mind. It goes black.

The tyres screech to a halt, after sliding a couple of meters on the wet surface and stops about a meter and a half from the girl on the road. A window rolls down and a man yells out, GET OFF THE ROAD YOU IDIOT!

Still shocked, the girl gets up off the road and steadies herself, walks to the curb and stops. She thinks to herself how lucky she was not to be flattened at this very second.

All of the excitment is over and she continues her journey home, trudging up the hills carrying her umbrella. She makes it home safely.

3rd of july BABY!!!

NIKKI AND KRYSTLE DAY.

Ever heard of it? Well now you have. In fact, this tradition has been going on for a total of 3 years to this date.

Nikki and Krystle day is founded by two members, and two members only. Nikki Fleming and Krystle Armstrong.

This special day takes place on the 3rd of July each year, for these two friends to celebrate their friendship.

Usually their celebration would be together, but unfortunately they have both grown a little older and moved to different states.

I have personally spoken to Krystle today and she is devastated that she cannot spend this special day with her friend. Krystle would like to say:

"Nikki Fleming is one of my best friends and will be until the end of time. (Even if we have a fall out there will always be fantastic memories) She has been there for me through rough times and good times with or without me.

If i ever got myself into trouble, Nikki has always been there for a shoulder to cry on or to give me advice. And if not that, someone for me to sit and just cry in front of.

I guess we share a special bond, in the way we used to live, which may not be revealed for the safety of our lives in the way of reputation and friendships with other people if they found out. I think that was the real reason as to why our friendship formed.

There have been times when i have doubted my friendship with Nikki, well, maybe just one, which we worked through, thanks to her putting some sense into my head!

You are a bubbly, energetic, bitchy, logical... whatever you are. You are everything rolled into one, good and bad, and it makes you who you are.

All in all, i guess i want to say a big THANKYOU for giving me a chance to be your friend."

So there you have it, this was Krystle's way of celebrating Nikki & Krystle Day, but she isnt satisfied by just this.
Since these two special friends cannot celebrate their day together, if you have any suggestions on how to let their day be known, please let me know to pass on to them.
